Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy Board Update
At last nightโs Board Meeting, Emma Roberson Early Learning Academy Principal Kellie Lambert and Assistant Principal Kellie Pollock shared an inside look at the incredible learning experiences taking place each day at ERELA and the intentional work being done to prepare some of our youngest Pirates for success.
The pledges were proudly led by ERELA students Mateo Loving-Luna and Evelyn Whitehouse.

Emma Roberson serves 340 students in Pre-K 3, Pre-K 4, and Early Childhood Special Education programs. The campus remains focused on building a strong foundation for every child through early learning, meaningful relationships, and developmentally appropriate instruction.

ERELA shared how students engage in purposeful instruction designed to grow early literacy, math readiness, language development, and social-emotional skills. Every lesson is built to help children gain confidence and be ready for Kindergarten and beyond.

One highlight of the presentation was ERELAโs four learning experience rooms, where students explore hands-on environments that spark curiosity, creativity, and problem-solving through real-world learning opportunities.

ERELA continues to create meaningful connections with families through events such as Family Fun Days, Grandparents Day, music programs, parent trainings, and other monthly engagement opportunities that strengthen the school-home partnership.

We honored Granbury High School teacher Carey Jo Davis and MCJROTC Battalion Sergeant Major Viola Allen as recipients of the Lamar Award from the Masonic Lodge. The Lamar Award recognizes individuals who demonstrate excellence in education, leadership, citizenship, and service to others.

We celebrated this yearโs LEAP Academy graduates for completing Granbury ISDโs leadership development program designed to grow and empower future leaders across the district. Granbury High School senior Elyse Jernigan was recognized as the Shottenkirk Senior of the Month. Elyse is an Academic Top 25 student who is hardworking, kind, and highly involved at GHS. She is an AP Art student and participates in cross country, Lady Pirates soccer, and track. She plans to attend Texas A&M University and pursue a career as a veterinarian.
