The Texas Education Agency (TEA) has released its preliminary Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST) scores for the 2023-24 school year.
Granbury ISD received an A rating, which equals superior achievement and a district score of 100. Both are the highest ratings a school district can receive from the TEA for financial integrity ratings. It’s the ninth straight year that Granbury ISD has received a superior achievement rating for financial integrity from the TEA and the second straight year to receive a perfect district score.
The state's school financial accountability rating system, known as the School Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas (FIRST), ensures that Texas public schools are held accountable for the quality of their financial management practices and that they improve these practices. The system is designed to encourage Texas public schools to better manage their financial resources to provide the maximum allocation possible for direct instructional purposes.
