Granbury ISD preliminary election results passes VATRE

Statement from Granbury ISD Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn on preliminary election results

“Granbury ISD would like to thank our community for a strong turnout in this year’s VATRE and school bond elections,” GISD Superintendent Dr. Jeremy Glenn said. “Although these are still preliminary totals, when Hood County came in last night Proposition B (the bond) was ahead by 74 votes. As results came in from Somervell, Johnson, and Parker County the overall vote total shifted. Our district is grateful that voters chose to ratify Proposition A, the Voter Approved Tax Rate Election, which will help fund staff pay increases, smaller class sizes, and additional security for all GISD campuses. In the coming months, we will study feedback from Proposition B to better understand why voters chose not to support additional facilities in our district. The facilities proposed on the ballot were truly needed to accommodate future student growth and provide equity within our district. We look forward to a continued strong partnership with all stakeholders as we work to provide all students in our schools with an exemplary educational experience. Thank you for your involvement and genuine concern for our students and GO PIRATES!”

"I would like to congratulate Mike Moore and Nancy Alana on winning the election for the Granbury ISD Board of Trustees. I look forward to working together for the betterment of the students, staff, and community of Granbury ISD."
